Amy Hallam
Artistic Director, Choreographer, Dancer & Workshop Leader
Amy started as a competative gymnast at an early age and began dancing at the age of 9. She studied at Pendleton College and went on to continue her training at the prestigious Northern School of Contemporary Dance graduating with a BA Honours in Contemporary Dance in 2012. Amy has worked with various choreographers/companies such as Resonance Dance Company, Sharon Watson and Gavin Rees Dance. Amy became an aerialist at Wired Aerial Theatre in 2014 and continues to perform internationally as part of their large scale outdoor production 'As The World Tipped'; touring destinations including Europe, Asia and South America.
Amy co- founded Tangled Dance Company in 2013 and choreographed her first outdoor production in 2014 'Once Upon A Twisted Tale'. Amy has continued to expand the company as a Director, Choreographer, Workshop leader and Dancer and continues to lead the company in new exciting ventures.

Vicky Eccleston
Visual Creative Director; Costume & Set Designer
Vicky studied Art and Design at Salford Technical College, following her training she became Head Fashion Designer at two Manchester companies, designing clothing ranges for leading highstreet stores in the UK (1978 – 1989). In 1993 Vicky established her own clothing design company RazzleDazzle Designs, initially producing bespoke children’s wear and later exclusive Gymnastic and Dancewear.
Vicky’s design skills expanded to include other materials such as wood, metal and found objects, exploring upcycling through independant projects since 2009. Vicky’s inspiration stemmed from the movement of fabric and its relationship to dance.
Vicky began collaborating with the Artistic Director in 2011 on various projects, exploring the combination of the two artforms. Vicky co- founded the company in 2013, working as Project Manager and has designed
and produced all the Costumes
and Props for all Tangled
productions. Vicky is also an
enthusiastic Dance
Photographer and was part
of the creation of our unique
Twisted Tale Workshops.
Vicky’s eclectic skill set is a
huge asset to the company
and fundamental in
establishing our unique brand.
Paul Davies
Engagement & Participation Manager and Dancer
Paul trained at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a First Class Degree in 2015. Paul went on to complete an apprenticeship with Motionhouse Dance Theatre, touring over 2015-2016 and teaching for Motionhouse Youth company. Paul also delivered classes and workshops at Northern School of Contemporary Dance to BPA 1 and 2 students.
Paul has performed works by Kevin Finnan ‘Captive’ and ‘Broken’, Tino Seghal ‘Kiss’, Dam Van Huynh ‘(Im)Pulse’, Charlotte Spencer ‘Is This A Wasteland’.
Paul joined Tangled Dance Company in 2016 as a dancer on the Once Upon A Twisted Tale tour and has taken on the role of lead male dancer in Tangled's productions since. Paul expanded his role with the company becoming the Engagement & Participation Manager in our work with communities and students.

Emma Hopley
Dancer
Emma trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance graduating with a First Class Honours Degree, then went on to complete her MA as part of Emergence Dance Company in 2019.
Emma has danced in a national tour including works by Joss Arnott 'When Worlds Collide' and Sharon Watson 'And Still I Walk' (2018/2019) and also toured with Kapow - Dance Circus Theatre. Emma also received funding from Arts Council England to explore her own creative practice (2021-2022).
Emma joined Tangled Dance Company in 2022 as a dancer in the creation of The Curious Curiosity Shop.

Rebecca Callow
Dancer
Rebecca trained at Trinity Laban graduating with a First Class Honours Degree, then went on to complete her MA as part of Emergence Dance Company in 2019.
Rebecca has toured works by Joss Arnott 'When Worlds Collide' and Sharon Watson 'And Still I Walk' (2018/2019). She has also toured with Kapow - Dance Circus Theatre 'Mayfly' (2022) and Coalesce Dance Theatre 'The Old Green Time Machine' (2022).
Rebecca joined Tangled Dance Company in 2022 as a dancer in the creation of The Curious Curiosity Shop.

Elianne Byrne
Actor
Elianne is a talented actor who has had many TV appearances including Doctors (2015 & 2017) and Emmerdale (2017). Elianne appeared in the Oliver Award Winning Show ‘The Railway Children’ (2016) playing Mrs perks, adapted by Mike Kenny and Damian Cruden and directed for the screen by Ross MacGibbon. She has performed in many site specific works with Feelgood Theatre including Whispers of Heaton (2016), Ghost Story of Heaton (2016), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2017), Romeo and Juliet (2018) and Dracula (2019).

Elianne joined Tangled Dance Company in 2022 as an actor in the creation of The Curious Curiosity Shop.

Steve Cooper
Actor
Steve is a unique actor who has had many TV appearances including Coronation Street (2007-2022), Car Share (2017) and Emmerdale (2006-2013). Steve appeared as Mr. Ernest Fowler in ‘Our Zoo’ (2014) written by Matt Charman and directed by Andy De Emmony. He also played Mr Lavine in ‘The Syndicate’ (2021).
Steve writes and directs his own work including Doodlebugs productions ‘HAND’S UP WHO’S HAPPY’ (2022). He is also a musician and part of a Ukulele collective.
Steve joined Tangled Dance Company in 2022 as an actor in the creation of The Curious Curiosity Shop.

Craig Frangleton
Composer & Musician; guitarist
Craig studied a degree in Popular Music & Recording at Salford University, where he majored in composition and musicology, then continuing on to study composition as a masters. Craig is one of the co-ordinators of two Manchester bands exploring his own compositions and various artistic collaborations. Craig’s compositions often intersect contemporary classical and progressive/technical electric guitar based music, he also works with recording and orchestrating extended multi-movement suites for multiple guitars.
Craig has worked with Tangled Dance Company since 2014 exploring improvisation with live dancers and composed and recorded soundtracks for Once Upon A Twisted Tale, Spilled Ink, Concrete Sofa and Frosted by Magic.

Georgia Brown
Workshop Leader & Workshop Photographer
Georgia met the company as a student when training at Pendleton Sixth Form College in Musical Theatre. She worked with Tangled as a supporting cast member in ‘Whispers Of A Christmas Tale’ in 2016 and then joined the company in a work experience role assisting at 2017 Twisted Tale Workshops. Georgia took on the role of Dance Captain as part of the supporting cast in ‘Frosted by Magic’ 2017 working closely with the leading artists and Director.
In 2018 Georgia joined the company as a Workshop Leader and trainee Photographer on Twisted Tale Workshops. She also took on the temporary role of Marketing Administrator. Georgia is currently studying at the University of Salford where she has continued her close relationship with the company during her training.
