Tangled Dance Company

The company was founded in 2013 by Amy Hallam a Manchester based Dance Artist & Choreographer and graduate of The Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Tangled's first outdoor production 'Once Upon A Twisted Tale' first toured in the North West in 2014. Since then the company has created and presented various original, site sensitive productions working with professional Dancers, Musicians, Composers, Actors and Props & Costume Designers to create immersive spectacles. Performers interact and connect with audiences and spaces in a captivating blend of physical theatre and dance with a unique style of upcycled costumes and props.

 

The company have worked with large supporting casts offering opportunities to dance students and community groups to learn and perform alongside professional artists. Tangled also developed a unique strand of Dance Photography Workshops that are increasingly popular in the Greater Manchester area. The company continue to expand and are committed to engaging those of all ages, creating exciting experiences in non traditional theatres spaces, truly making high end art accessible for all.
